OTHER NEWS

THURSDAY 7th DECEMBER

Well, here we are at the start of an extremely promising winter season. We are delighted to report that snow conditions are already fantastic and that a week of heavy snows is forecast from tomorrow - some 1.5m of additional depth, no less !
We have both had our touring skis out this week and enjoyed some beautiful views and gorgeous powder runs in Sainte Foy before it is officially open. Lloyd was the first one ever to make tracks on the brand new "Camp Filleul" piste - Do have a look at our latest videos (below) taken over the last couple of days in Ste Foy - it is idyllic!

Sainte Foy is currently hosting several World Cup ski teams for race training, as conditions are so excellent ! Val d'Isère and Tignes are already up and running, and ready to host the World Cup races next week, with the 'Critérium de la Première Neige' from this weekend - it's all go !
If that wasn't enough, the slopes of Villaroger (you can see them from the breakfast table), now benefit from snow-making facilities and so the link to and from the main Les Arcs network is guaranteed right until the end of the season !

7th December 2017 at Sainte Foy !

Fantastic start to the 2016/17 season with huge snowfalls from early November. Here's a video of Lloyd enjoying deep, fresh powder snow conditions on the slopes of Sainte Foy on 12th November 2016. Val d'Isere and Tignes officially open on 27th November.

Amazing end to the 2016 season with a family powder day's skiing at Sainte Foy. Nelson had the day off and we joined him on the empty slopes under glorious blue skies. Sarah here skiing with our ski racer son. Filmed 12 th April.

Full film of "Rocket Man" Tim and Lloyd skiing the famous Fogliettaz off-piste run from the top of Sainte Foy, eventually leading back to Chalet La Tillette in La Masure. Wednesday 9th March 2016.
Thanks to Sainte Foy ESF instructors Barbara and Thibault for their guiding and company!

Not quite the last powder of the 2016 season, back on the 12th March - see "Nelson's day Off above !

Kate, Andrew and Simon here, skiing with Sarah on an off-piste route back to Chalet La Tillette.

Sunny on Sunday 6th March 2016 and so here's another trial run with the spin-mount GoPro. Almost no other tracks again and hopefully good choice of music too. 2016 is definitely a great snow season and March and Easter are looking fabulous with cold temperatures to keep the snow fresh combined with lovely sunshine. Bring it on!!

Cruisy run back to La Tillette on an overcast and windy day BUT I had my camera AND there were no tracks - not one!

Great music track so I hope you like it despite the flattish light..
